Running the (Mens running) Mile Run

August 15th, 2008

Tip! Don’t use your old worn-out shoes for winter running. Do not start your winter running in shoes that have 400-500 miles on them.

The toughest of all athletes in the world are not Football Players wearing pads and involved in plays for only 8-15 seconds. And the real athletes are not the baseball players who hit the ball as hard as they can or sit for most of the competition on a bench chewing tobacco products. The real athletes are not those who drive around in Golf Carts.

Now, I do not wish to condemn my fellow athlete as all those sports do have their superstars of agility, talent and skill, but what I am going to tell you is the greatest athlete of any sport can only be found in Track and Field and even there they compete in only one event; The Mile Run.

Tip! Mounting methods vary slightly with application. Multi-Fit Running boards are bolted in place with clip nuts and bolts at factory holes.

The mile run is the ultimate challenge and the pain is always there. Some people liken the mile run to a long-distance running event and that maybe so for some competition levels in the younger categories. But at the World Class Level or top invitational track meet levels it is; The Event.

Why is the mile run so tough? Well it truly separates the star athletes from the regular ones. The mile run is 4-laps of pure competition and excitement, as well as pain and test of will. There is no greater athletic competition than the mile run, it is you against your worst fears, fellow man and indeed a test your soul. Please consider all this in 2006.

Tip! Your clothing and shoes will be really your most important running equipment. But, you don’t necessarily have to go out and buy all new stuff once you start to run.
